Big Tech Update
Apple’s new iOS 14.5 update is officially available for download, and it has a ton of new features.
One of the most anticipated features is an improvement to Face ID that makes it easier to unlock your iPhone while wearing your mask. While it’s not foolproof, and you have to own an Apple Watch to make it work, it’s a step in the right direction since iPhone users have been struggling to use Face ID since the onset of the global pandemic.
Another new feature will allow users to set the default music app of their choice, instead of being forced to use Apple music. The update also includes more than 200 new emoji and a new voice for Siri. With the update, Siri will no longer default to a female’s voice.
