How did Jeep get double the fuel mileage out of the 2021 Sahara?

2.0L supercharged I4 and augmented by a pair of electric motor generators driven by a 17kWh battery pack. Together they produce 375 horsepower, 470 lb.-ft and 370 mile range...

Jeep just released a new 2021 Sahara, but how did the company double the vehicle’s fuel mileage?

The secret is its use of hybrid engine technology. The 2021 Sahara has an internal combustion engine (ICE) that runs on regular gasoline for fuel. But in order to maximize fuel mileage and help with emissions, the new Jeep also has an electric motor powered by a battery pack.

Horsepower isn’t a problem for the hybrid Jeep, as the ICE and e-motor together make a stout 375 horsepower. And don’t worry about off-roading in the partially electric Jeep. The battery pack was built with new technology that protects it from rugged off-road adventures and it is even waterproof in up to 30 inches of water.

The new Jeep Sahara has tons of other features and new technology. Be sure to check out the video of the full review to learn more, find out just how good the gas mileage is, and see the new Jeep in action.
