Microsoft has big plans for its popular Flight Simulator game this month. The company is preparing to release a big patch that is slated to drastically improve the performance of the PC game.
The improvements are part of the game being reworked for an Xbox release, but the PC game is reaping the benefits of that process as well. With the new patch, the PC version of the game goes from 30 frames per second (fps) to a whopping 60fps.
Flight Simulator will also be easier on your PC, as CPU utilization while playing the game drops from 100% to 75%. Additionally, the memory usage required for the game drops from 16GB to 4.7 GB.
And while the enhancements to the PC game are great, perhaps the most anticipated Flight Simulator event this month is the release of the game on Xbox, and we have your first sneak peek of what that will look like.
