Sony just released a beta program ahead of a major PS5 system update

Sony will release a major PlayStation 5 (PS5) update soon, and you could have a chance to test the new features.

The company is opening a beta program and is asking people to sign up to test the new features before the big public release. If you’re interested in signing up to take part in the beta test, you must be 18 or older and reside in the US, France, Germany, UK, Japan, or Canada. Participants must also be current PS5 owners.

If you are selected to take part in the test, Sony will send beta download instructions. If you are not selected, Sony will keep your information on file for future beta releases. Users should keep in mind that being part of a beta test could lead to unexpected bugs and errors, but you can always restore your console to the pre-beta version whenever you need to.

So how can you sign up and when will we know more about the new features that can be expected with the big update?
