Did you know your security camera can be hacked? Here’s how to stop spying eyes
If you own a home security camera, you may want to listen up. The camera that is supposed to help keep you safe can be hacked and allow someone to invade your privacy.
But there are a few things you can do about that. One important thing to ensure you have in place when accessing your security camera is two-factor authentication. This type of security check makes you confirm you are logging in by a text, call, or email before it will let you access the camera feed. You will also be alerted of all attempted logins and can shut down potential hacks.
Another thing you can do to protect your privacy is to make sure you update your camera’s firmware regularly. Running out-of-date operating systems can make it easier for hackers to access your camera and invade your privacy. How else can you make your security camera more safe and secure?
