Big Tech Update
This is how Trump’s Twitter was hacked in October
Though the White House has denied that President Donald Trump’s Twitter account was compromised in October of this year, Dutch prosecutors beg to differ.
Officials with the public prosecutor’s office in the Netherlands say they have determined that a researcher by the name of Victor Gevers really did hack Trump’s Twitter account in October. Gevers was able to get access to the account by guessing the password, which was reportedly “maga2020!”
Gevers immediately disclosed to authorities that he gained access to the high profile account, and even tried to alert US officials and the Secret Service.
What was the response from Dutch prosecutors and Twitter? Will Gevers face charges?
