Twitter announces new feature that lets you charge for tweets
Twitter just announced a new feature that will allow users to cash in on tweeting.
The new feature is called Super Follows, and it enables users to charge followers for the content they tweet. Super Follows was designed to let users create extra paid content such as bonus tweets, community groups, newsletter subscriptions, and support badges.
Twitter feels this is a new way to allow content creators to get paid directly by their fans. Direct payment platforms for content creators have surged in popularity recently, making Twitter anxious to get in on the action. Is there a set launch date for the new feature? And will users be able to customize the amount they charge for bonus content and perks through Super Follows?
